Class on Sunday 20th December 2009

Thank you very much to everyone who braved the cold, the ice and the snow to come to the Rueda Class at Keir Hardie on Sunday 20th December 2009. We hope you all enjoyed the evening.

We are going to take one week off this coming Sunday 27th December, and then restart classes in the New Year on Sunday 3rd January.

In the meantime we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The moves revised this week included:

balsero (rafter)
cadeneta (little chain) / se quedó (stay)
lombriz (worm) / se quedó (stay)
la famosa (the famous)
lola
setenta (seventy)
setenta y uno (seventy one)

Even if you are not dancing in a rueda, you can practice many of the moves in your free dancing.

Class on Sunday 13th December 2009

Thank you very much to everyone who came to the Rueda Class at Keir Hardie on Sunday 13th December 2009. We hope you all enjoyed the evening.

We are planning to run the classes up until, and including, Sunday 20th December, take one week off on Sunday 27th December, and restart classes in the New Year on Sunday 3rd January.

The moves covered this week included:

Level 2/3 Class

adiós (a la prima) (goodbye (cousin))
adiós a la hermana (goodbye sister)
adiós a toda la familia (goodbye the whole family)
adiós con vuelta (goodbye with turn)
adiós pa' arriba (goodbye upstream)
enchufe pa'arriba (plug/connect upstream)
enchufe con vuelta (plug/connect with turn)
enchufe con una/dos/tres (enchufe with one/two/three claps)
no le llegues (don't get to her)
dame una pa'arriba (give me one upstream)
pelota (ball)
festival de enchufe (festival of (triple) enchufe)
festival de pelota (festival of (triple) pelota)
ida (one-way journey)
ida y vuelta (return journey)
en el quinto (on the five)
