Class on Sunday 23rd August 2009

Thank you very much to everyone who came to the Rueda Class at Keir Hardie on Sunday 23rd August 2009, and a warm welcome to those who came along for the first time. We hope you all enjoyed the evening.

Please note, there will be no class at Keir Hardie on Sunday 30th August 2009. Instead, weather permitting, we will have a beach barbeque plus rueda at Gorleston-on-Sea. We plan to be there from 2pm onwards. Please bring your own food and drink.

The moves covered this week included:

enchufe pa'atrás (plug/connect behind)
moderno
yogur (yogurt)
yogur doble (double yogurt)
kentucky
Havana
el dedo (the finger)
montaña (mountain)
coca cola
dame dos (give me two)
dame una pa'arriba (give me one upstream)
dos con dos ((give me) two with two (claps))
lombriz (worm) / se quedó (stay)
mariposa (butterfly)
arco iris (rainbow)
patín (skating)
patín mujeres (women skating)
escalera (1,2,2,1) (stairway, ladder)
en el quinto (on the five)

When you see us out on the dance floor starting a rueda, you are welcome to join in, we'll try to call moves that you know, and don't forget, you can join in even if you don't have a partner to start with.

Even if you are not dancing in a rueda, you can practice many of the moves in your free dancing.

Class on Sunday 16th August 2009
